MMD Custom Designs is a company developing design solutions specifically for your needs and tastes.

At MMD Custom Designs we work with clients to design unique custom concepts and products for various solutions. We provide novel concept designs through to prototypes and assistance with manufacturing the finished products. MMD offers design consultancy services as well as prototyping and manufacturing. Our team specialises in bringing the client’s design needs to life. The MMD team have worked on small and large projects across Australia with all design aspects involved in them.

MMD Custom designs was founded in Canberra, ACT. We pride ourselves on working with local companies and sourcing local materials when possible.

What We Do- Concept Design/ Scale Drawings

Through creativity, skill and experience, we take your ideas and develop tangible designs in the form of sketches, CAD and visual mock-ups. This is where the first and most important visual connection to the product is formed and lays the foundation of the design. We also offer the service of creating scale drawings for your product or large scale project.

Prototyping

A powerful tool in visualising a concept, we use prototypes as a first look at a product’s physical form. Giving a visual representation of scale and proportion from a simple form model through to a fully functional prototype. We utilise 3D printing, accurate CNC machined parts, visual models, working prototypes and form studies. We can deliver all types of appropriate prototyping.

Manufacturing/Production

At MMD we always try to do all our manufacturing for our client’s product.  If we can’t produce the suitable product for the clients we do the full design service and hand over to a trusted manufacturing partner.

What’s next for us?

At MMD we are always looking for that bigger and better project, both in Australia and abroad. The team at MMD are always trying to push the boundaries of design. We will be establishing a bigger network of suppliers and manufactures. Continually growing our range of products and services.
