Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

We’re acutely aware of our impact on the communities and stakeholders we work with, and our footprint on the planet. Which is why we make a real effort to give back in ways that will provide positive outcomes.

Our 'people first winning culture' goes beyond creating a healthy workplace for our staff. It’s an important way to connect with and support charitable causes, and encourage volunteer activities through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.

Across all Ajilon locations, we maintain sustainable, low-impact offices, and in recent years we are taking a more strategic approach to community involvement.

We contribute 2% of our pre-tax-profits each year through our CSR Program, with a focus on five key areas:

Corporate Volunteering

Every permanent member of staff is entitled to take one day of fully-paid leave per year to donate their time to an approved Community Volunteering Day activity. Each year, this equals almost 1,500 hours of support for community organisations working in the health, education, environment and animal welfare sectors.

Community Engagement

Communities work when everyone gives something back. At Ajilon, the culture of giving-back is deeply embedded in our everyday business. Over the past 12 months we have provided financial, pro-bono and in-kind support for a range of community organisations, including:

  • Foodbanks across Australia
  • beyondblue
  • The Smith Family

We also encourage our staff in all States to make regular blood donations as part of the Red Cross Red 25 Program, saving the lives of more than 250 people each year.

Employee Wellbeing

A key aspect of our ‘people first, winning culture’ is in knowing the importance of supporting the wellbeing of our staff and their families.

A range of free services and initiatives that benefit staff and their families are available, including annual flu shots and encouraging family participation in community events. Additionally, our staff and families can access a confidential external Employee Assistance Program free of charge at any time to assist with matters of conflict on a personal or work-related level.

Diversity and Inclusion

Recognising the importance of diversity in the workplace, our Diversity and Inclusion Council works closely with clients and employees within our key focus groups of Indigenous, Mature-Age, CaLD, Female, LGBTI and Disabled individuals. Over the next 12 months, with the full support of our Executive Team, the council is implementing a range of initiatives designed to encourage greater diversity at an organisational level.

Win4Youth

Win4Youth is Adecco's unique global program that actively creates better work, better life for young people around the world.

This year it’s even closer to our hearts, with Foundation for Young Australians (FYA) nominated as one of the organisations that will benefit from this program.

Funding provided to FYA this year has gone towards the establishment of the IMPACT Project in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. This three-year education and leadership initiative will equip vulnerable young Indigenous people with personal and employability skills, strong cultural identity and a vital connection to their local communities.
